Altering the background

i felt that there wasnt enough texture in the background so i began to introduce some of the texture that i had in the man along the curves of blue at the back which i felt would help to soften the shape and would be easier to blend since the background colour is a light grey.
it definately needed something and i think this at the very least creates a shadow which emphasises the shape. im trying to be carfeul with how much of the texture i introduce i dont want to overwhelm the poster but i dont want it to be too flat.
i was pondering what else i could place within the background and played around with the block symbol - i felt that the buildings were the weakest point of the design but i couldnt figure out what do with them so i was mostly just experimenting. i came up with an edited block symbol ( it had a chalk outline which gave it a rougher edge and was darker blue) i was thinking about placing it in some of the windows but im not really sure. hopefully inspiration will strike and ill have more of an idea.
