Battle of Dunkirk film

Since Churchill speech is in direct reference to the battle at Dunkirk i decided to research films surrounding that incident which helped to fully contextualise.

A voice over has been used to describe the events portrays the troops in grandiose heroic manner which is mirrored through the grinning faces of military force who are the main element of the film. The troops themselves embody "the glory of war" rather than the actuality which is congruent with Churchill's raising the spirits speech. there is a great sense of fluidity within the film which is mirrored through the various methods of transport displayed, even the music is incredibly patriotic which presents the united front. The shot of the flag at the end could be incorporated within my own film since i plan on making the union jack a running theme throughout my trailer. Since i don't want to literally interpret my speech (and cant anyway due to its era) i plan on making a trailer thats slightly more uplifting and fun i want it to revolve around playful britishness so whatever clips i integrate from the 1940s have to match that playfulness.
