This is the design i displayed in the crit, i received very positive feedback the cover itself seemed to be successful, it was pointed out that my blurb was a little too close to the spine but unfortunately the text is as small as it can be without losing its clarity and the knight in relation to the bleeds can't really move over enough to create more space. Because of this i don't think that i'm going to change this aspect- its not on the fold there is a small amount of space around the side so this won't effect the legibility or overall blurb design anyway. It was also suggested that since the black of the spine drips downwards the red at the top should also drip as well, i plan on trying this out but since the black is a representation of what is supposed to be blood altering the red in this way doesn't preserve the continuity. I'm really happy i was a little worried that the design might be too cliche but the positive feedback has reassured me that this isn't the case.
My poster also received positive feedback so i'm happy that there are no changes to be made.
